West Garden
Coop De Villa: An Imagined Compound
The agrarian in us calls out for connection to our food source with chickens playing a vital role in our diet and in the garden.
Playfully designed chicken coops capture our imagination and educate the future generations in the critical practice of cultivating the land.

Designed By
Duke Design Group
As “garden imaginers,” we create spaces for outdoor living, bringing life from inside the home seamlessly outside.
Views, function, details, and aesthetics are all tailored specifically to how each homeowner lives and are all key components in our designs.

Meet the Designers

Gavin Duke
Gavin was born in Biloxi, MS and raised in Arkansas. He is a graduate from the University of Arkansas, where he majored in Landscape Architecture. Upon graduation, Gavin moved to Tennessee with the dream of becoming a known landscape architect. The hope was to create with the talents he was given.
With a passion for drawing and a keen sense of land, he joined forces with Ben Page to form the firm Page|Duke Landscape Architects. After 30 years with Page|Duke, Gavin achieved another dream and opened the doors of Duke Design Group in January 2022.
Over the years, Gavin has worked with many wonderful clients in which he has received numerous awards for some of those accomplished projects.
Current boards and memberships:
- Friends of Warner Parks board member
- Belle Meade Commissioner for both the planning and historic zoning committees
- Member of Belle Meade’s Society of Ceres
- Member of the American Society of Landscape Architects
Past services include the Professional Advisory Board at the University of Arkansas, as well a former board member for the South East Institute of Classical Architecture and Arts.
When not designing, Gavin can be found on long runs in the Warner Parks or spending time with his lovely wife Lorie, their adorable 14 year old daughter Poppy and their two Brittany Spaniels Teddy and Strawberry.
Gavin’s mantra is: “From design to build is a process. It takes time; time to envision, time to reveal itself and time to mature.”
