ECON CHARITIES
ECON Charities is the charitable arm of the Economic Club of Nashville, a local civic and service organization that has existed to interact with, improve and impact the city of Nashville for more than a century. Through partnerships with local nonprofit organizations, ECON Charities serves to eliminate barriers for fragile families to enjoy enriching cultural experiences and create lifelong memories that have a lasting positive impact on the individuals while strengthening our community. Proceeds from the Antiques & Garden Show help support Nashville families and individuals through ECON Charities’ three main beneficiaries: The Next Door Recovery, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women for lifetime recovery from substance abuse disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, The Family Center, a 501(c)(3) organization offering evidence- and research-based programs to break intergenerational cycles of childhood trauma, and Light a Spark, a homegrown ECON initiative that facilitates ECON Charities’ mission to help build resilient families and communities through shared cultural experiences. The Light a Spark nonprofit program covers the costs to enjoy activities from iconic Nashville organizations for economically disadvantaged families accessed through community partners like The Family Center.
