2026 Co-chairs

Paula Kinard & Phyllis Vandewater

The Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville is delighted to introduce the 2026 Show General Chairs, Paula Kinard and Phyllis Vandewater. Close friends and creative collaborators, Paula and Phyllis have long supported and attended the Antiques & Garden Show and describe it as one of the most exciting experiences of the year. Now as co-chairs, they’re eager to put their own stamp on the event, bringing complementary strengths to the role and drawing inspiration from past lectures and garden showcases.

An Alabama native and longtime Nashvillian, Paula worked with Phyllis Fridrich Interiors in Nashville for 13 years before eventually launching her own design firm, PNK Designs. She’s been involved with the Show since it was at the Nashville Convention Center, serving various volunteer roles including Signage Co-Chair and Café Design Co-Chair. Paula’s broader community involvement includes St. Luke’s Community House and the Garden Club of Nashville, among others.

Phyllis is a Nashville native and former health care executive with experience in marketing and development. Her keen eye for classic interiors was influenced by her mother’s love of antiques and gardening, and she boasts a long history of philanthropic involvement, including with the Nashville Public Library Foundation, Friends of Warner Parks, and Cheekwood Estate & Gardens.

Paula and Phyllis additionally raised four children together – Paula with two boys and Phyllis with two girls who line up identically – were equally involved in their schools and also share many mutual hobbies. A natural team with deep roots in the Nashville community and years of joint fundraising experience, Paula and Phyllis look forward to supporting Cheekwood and ECON Charities and working with the amazing team of Show staff and volunteers who make the role so fun!
